Jay A. Anders, P. E.
Jay A. Anders, P. E. is currently a full-time professor at Southern Adventist University in the School of Engineering and Physics. His course of instruction has a primary focus on undergraduate students in the field of electrical engineering.
After receiving his engineering degree, he worked directly for the Tennessee Valley Authority in support of various hydropower plant modernizations, upgrades, and automation projects. His last position at TVA was the Manager of the Hydropower Electrical Engineering Department.
For the next 15 years, Mr. Anders continued to lead projects for clients across North America, acquiring extensive expertise in management and project management while leading projects related to pumped storage as well as conventional hydro plants while serving the consulting industry. He was an Associate Vice President and Deputy Director of the Hydropower and Hydraulic Structures Department at Black & Veatch (B&V). He had direct supervision of a team of project managers and engineering professionals.
Mr. Anders is a registered professional engineer, a U.S. Navy Submarine veteran, and a Past Chair of the National Hydropower Association Board of Directors. His educational achievements include an MS in engineering management and a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a BA in business administration from Columbia College.
