Matanuska Electric Association (MEA) is a member-owned electric cooperative serving more than 58,000 members across Southcentral Alaska, from Eagle River to the Mat-Su Valley. Hydropower is an important part of MEA’s diverse generation portfolio and long-term strategy to provide reliable, affordable energy while reducing dependence on natural gas. Through regional partnerships, MEA receives power from Alaska’s Bradley Lake Hydroelectric Project and continues to support opportunities to expand access to reliable, cost-effective hydroelectric resources.
