Juliana Ward is the Regulatory Affairs Manager at the National Hydropower Association. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Environmental Studies and a Minor in Economics. She also received her Masters of Public Affairs from Indiana University, concentrating in Environmental Policy and Natural Resource Management. During her education, she studied abroad in Costa Rica, Germany, and South Korea.
Juliana has previous internship experiences at Duke Energy, working with federal energy policy and trade associations. She also interned at the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities’ Office of the Economist, where she engaged in economic analyses of energy-efficiency programs. Juliana also brings experience in sustainability consulting, supporting projects like advising Uganda’s Ministry of Finance on implementing fiscal environmental tools and conducting a literature review on bankruptcy prediction models for the US Environmental Protection Agency.
Outside of work, Juliana loves to swim, travel, and explore the Washington, D.C. area!
